We are pleased to announce that the Sanctuary is again welcoming visitors, but on a case-by-case basis with advance notice.
The squatters were evicted from the nearby property in January, and have moved just across Wolf Creek Road. Wanted signs for them are posted all over town. We have not had a trespassing incident with them since Christmas Eve, though they have come partway down the driveway. Hopefully pressure from law enforcement, along with the cold, wet weather will continue keeping them away from our place.
We have decided to cautiously allow visitors again, but the situation is subject to change at any time.
If you wish to visit the sanctuary and offer support to the land community, PLEASE contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org in advance. We need communication prior to your arrival so we can give you the up-to-date situation on the land and ensure that there are indoor spaces and resources to welcome you. Thanks for your understanding!

An Urgent Update to the Wolf Creek Sanctuary Community: Land is Closed to Visitors, Needs Support
The Sanctuary is temporarily closed to guests except by special arrangement, due to the increased threat from hostile neighbors across the creek.
We are seeking seasonedvisitors, for shorter or longer stays, who can help tend the Sanctuary and give the Caretakers time off during this challenging period. Please contact the Caretakers to discuss what’s involved.
We are also looking for a volunteer (preferably local) to act as the Land Liaison: focalizing support for the land folks and communicating needs to the larger community.
To contact the land community, email email@example.com or call 541-866-2678.
For background on this situation and more ways to help, see the Call for Support.
We want people to know that this is an urgent situation and the land folks really need support from the community right now.
Please continue to pray and call in magic for the protection of all beings and structures on the Land, and a rapid and beneficial resolution to this stressful situation.

TAINT gathering now has a crowdfunding page!
This summer, we will be hosting a brand new week long gathering called T.A.I.N.T. for up to 100 Two spirit, Agender, Intersex, Nonbinary, Transgender and other gender nonconforming individuals to come together to heal, pray, and celebrate at Wolf Creek…
We don’t have much to offer in the way of housing for caretakers and other long-term residents; this has consistently been identified as a top priority! More residents would make everything else easier.
So, the Building Committee is calling a special meeting on August 6 to gather up ideas. Join us?
Monday, 8/6, 7pm. By Zoom or phone.

Join us this weekend at our semi-annual Great Circle; it’s where we share visions for the Sanctuary and make plans for the coming year. Friday evening is a heart circle and fire; Saturday and Sunday are meetings. (You can even participate remotely.)
Great Circle is more than just a meeting. It’s a gatherette for those who love this community and want to help it evolve and thrive. It is an intense and magical co-created process with the power to transform our community and our relationships to each other.
Read the Call; details are in the online Agenda.
The Samhain gathering is Oct 26 – Nov 2. Read the Call
, and register
(so we know how much food to buy)!
We gather, fae folk from all paths betwixt and between, in the time between in-breath and out-breath, in the space between worlds.
What have we lost? What have we put away, that is waiting to be retrieved and shared? What has served us before, that we no longer need? What have our ancestors seeded for us, which we gather together to now celebrate? What do we bring, in (ir)reverence for our hallowed dead, in service to our beloved living hearts?
Hear this call to Samhain, and weave in your stories and your silences with ours. We gather to co-create sanctuary, so that none in our communities may face hungry months alone. We gather to feast, sing, clown, divine, to recall our strengths and carry them with us into the coming year. We gather to heal, and to support each other as we are, complete with our Shadows. As the dark season closes in we honor the wild hunters of the night, and we honor their quarry – they sustain us, and we are them.
Date change; the Pendulum gathering (last of the Summer!) will be Sept 1-10; it starts Labor Day weekend, and ends with Great Circle (the semi-annual gatherette where we make decisions about running the Sanctuary).
Pendulum is usually the best opportunity of the year for faeries from all our different sub-communities to gather. Are there circles, conversations, or rituals you’d like to see happen? (For example, there’s the suggestion that we look at how we can address oppression in a way that’s both faerie and effective.) Would you like to organize a harvest feast, or perhaps be Kitchen Queen?
If you’d like to plug into planning, send a note to email@example.com
Gathering are over for a while; things are quieter at the Sanctuary. If you plan to visit, please email caretakers@ nomenus.org or call 541 866-2678 so we know to expect you. The creek is clear and high this year (great in hot weather!) but don’t drink it (there are cattle upstream).
